With the files in the cloud, you can sit back and enjoy peace of mind.

Already now, all public documents are sent to our ebox, invoices are sent by e-mail, and our Christmas cards are made on the computer.

The digital world is upon us, and there are pros and cons to that.

Accessibility is the big advantage of putting everything online.

The downside is that you become vulnerable to losing data. One way to make the most of the advantage and eliminate the disadvantage is to have a backup here at Onlime.dk.

Often we are faced with a choice about new technology.

Is it necessary? Is it a good idea Is it expensive? Will it save me hassle?

There are so many different types of technology and software being invented. It is therefore necessary to consider some of these issues when faced with a new investment of time and/or money.

A good place to start is the digital files stored on computers, tablets and phones. It saves a lot of hassle to have all my documents and pictures online as they will be accessible everywhere.

Onlime gives you access to your files anywhere

You can scan your photos or documents with your mobile phone or tablet and transfer it directly to your online backup.

Our mobile app is easy to use.

If you already use a smartphone or tablet, you'll enjoy the extra freedom. Find out more about Onlime and apps here. If you put files in your Sync folder on your computer, these will also be automatically accessible from your smartphone or tablet.

In addition to putting files in the Sync folder, you also get the option of automatic backup with Onlime. Here, folders are selected for backup and the contents will be automatically backed up in the background. The typical reason for losing your documents is that your computer breaks down.

We've all been there, but not everyone has experienced losing their documents. You don't have to have lost data before you back it up.

If you secure your data with online backup, you can send your computer for repair, buy a new one, etc. without worrying about your important documents.

There is freedom in security

A choice to digitise all documents is not just a matter of convenience, it is very much a matter of knowing that all documents are safe.

With all your documents and files in the 'cloud', you're free from the worry of losing them.

For example, photographs are not recoverable in case of fire or other damage, but with the files in the cloud, you are safe.

Specifically, my personal solution for making all my files online has been a scanner. They now come in every printer and are incredibly cheap. Mine is one of those fix scanners where you just place all your documents and pictures in a stack and it scans it all in effortlessly and in a short amount of time.

This type of scanner is a little more expensive than the typical 3i1 printer, but it saves a lot of time and hassle. If you do not want to invest in such a scanner, you can also use scanners in libraries or shops as a printer and scanner.

An alternative to spending money on such equipment is to use your smartphone for it. It's easier and better than you might think. There are a myriad of different apps for both Android and iOS that are designed for just this.
